Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup yogurt, whisked

- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 4-5 cloves
- 4-5 green cardamom pods
- 1-2 bay leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Assorted dried fruits (raisins, cashews, almonds) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preparing the Korma Paste:
- In a blender, combine grated coconut, cashews, almonds, green chilies, ginger, garlic, and poppy seeds.
- Add a little water and blend into a smooth paste. Set aside.
2. Making the Curry:
- Heat ghee or oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, cloves, cardamom pods, and bay leaves. Sauté for a minute until aromatic.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
- Add the prepared korma paste and cook for a few minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
- Slowly add the whisked yogurt, stirring continuously to avoid curdling.
