Method:

Dahi Bara:

  1. Grind the soaked urad dal into a smooth paste, adding minimal water.
  2. Add chopped green chilies, grated ginger, and salt to the batter. Mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Drop small portions of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
  4. Once fried, soak the bara in water for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Squeeze out excess water and arrange them in a serving dish.

Aloo Dum:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and bay leaf. Allow them to splutter.
  2. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  5. Add diced potatoes, yogurt, and salt. Mix well and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
