Ingredients:

  • 250 gm ladyfingers (bhindi)
  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Chopped fresh coriander for garnish

Method:

  1. Wash the ladyfingers and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together gram flour, salt, baking soda, red chilli powder, and garam masala powder.
  3. Add lemon juice and water to the bowl and mix well to form a smooth batter.
  4. Dip each ladyfinger into the batter, coating it evenly, and then slide it into hot oil.
  5. Fry the ladyfingers until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain the pakoras on paper towels and serve hot with a sprinkle of chopped coriander.
