  • A pinch of black salt
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2-3 cups chilled water

Method:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the sattu, jaggery or sugar, roasted cumin powder, black salt, and a pinch of regular salt.
  2. Add a little chilled water to the mixture and stir well to dissolve the sattu and sweetener. This creates a smooth paste.
  3. Gradually add the remaining chilled water and keep stirring to ensure there are no lumps.
  4. Taste and adjust the sweetness and saltiness according to your preference by adding more jaggery or salt if needed.
  5. If you prefer a thinner consistency, you can add more water.
  6. You can also add ice cubes to make the sharbat extra refreshing.
  7. Serve Sattu Sharbat chilled, garnished with fresh mint leaves or lemon slices if desired.
